NEW DELHI: In a sign that Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel could also be questioned, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday cited ‘forensic investigation’ and a purported e-mail by Mahadev app case accused behind the claims of cost of Rs 508 crore to the CM.
The company stated, “From the questioning of Asim Das, the forensic investigation of the cellphone recovered from him and examination of e-mail despatched by Shubham Soni (one of many high-ranking accused within the Mahadev app case), many startling allegations have come forth, particularly that common funds have been made prior to now and, thus far, round Rs 508 crore has been paid by Mahadev app promoters to Bhupesh Baghel.These are issues of investigation.”
