Kanker: PM Modi to address rally in Kanker town of poll-bound Chhattisgarh on Thursday | India News

RAIPUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will tackle a rally in election-bound Chhattisgarh on Thursday, his first public assembly within the Congress-ruled state after the announcement of the ballot schedule. The PM’s rally can be held within the Naxalite-hit Kanker district that’s going to polls within the first section of two-phased polls within the state, a Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP) functionary mentioned.
The prime minister will arrive in an Indian Air Pressure plane on the Raipur airport at 12.55 pm on Thursday and can go away for Kanker in a helicopter. His rally is scheduled to be held at 3 pm in Kanker city, he mentioned.
Police mentioned a large safety cowl has been put in place on the rally venue.
A multi-layered safety blanket, involving personnel of the state police and paramilitary drive in addition to the Particular Safety Group (SPG), has been put in place within the space, situated round 150 km from capital Raipur within the north Bastar area.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma may also be campaigning in Rajnandgaon and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki districts of the state on Thursday.

Votes can be counted on December 3.
