DANTEWADA: A Border Safety Power (BSF) jawan deployed on election responsibility was killed after a grenade in his possession by chance exploded in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district on Sunday, police stated. The blast occurred when a crew of the BSF‘s seventieth battalion stationed at Katekalyan police station for ballot responsibility was about to launch a search operation, an official right here stated.
The patrolling crew was transferring out of the police station premises when a hand grenade stored in a pouch worn by head constable Balbeer Chand exploded, he stated.
