Cuba uncovers human trafficking for Russia’s war in Ukraine

HAVANA: Cuba has recognized an alleged human trafficking ring geared toward recruiting its residents to battle in Russia‘s battle in Ukraine, the international ministry stated Monday.
The federal government was working to dismantle a “trafficking community that operates from Russia to include Cuban residents residing there, and even some from Cuba, into the navy forces concerned in navy operations in Ukraine”, the ministry stated in a press release.
The Cuban authorities had initiated prison proceedings towards these finishing up the trafficking, it added.
Cuban international minister Bruno Rodriguez stated in a publish on X, previously Twitter, that the federal government was “performing with the complete drive of the legislation” towards trafficking operations.
